The theatre program is housed at the old South Church on the second floor, which provides a large open flexible space that is conducive to theatre making processes, presenting theatre and studying theatre in context.  It also houses a stage area for rehearsal and performance. Theatre students also attend live professional theatre productions throughout the school year. This is both a wonderful opportunity for students to experience what's possible artistically in producing plays as well as a requirement of the IB Theatre course. Students are required to develop skills as performers, directors, designers, and creators of original theatre. Theatre is a creative, cooperative and collaborative discipline.  Formal Assessments are project based and shared with audiences of varying size and composition.
